> Plain gnomes are quite an oddity in humanoid races in general. They have many celestial characteristics, pointing to their origins.

> Wide-Known Characters. Wherever a plain gnome was, everybody knows her. They have some kind of very open and easy-to-know attitude. They like everyone and everything, be it a great villain or hero of good.

> Celestial Origin. At one point, gnomes went to a celestial plane and came back as plain gnomes.

> Odd Looks. Whatever gender they may have, plain gnomes look like smallish human females of extreme beauty, with golden hair and pale yellow skin.

> Three Genders. Plain gnomes have three genders: female, bimale, and male. Each of these is referred to as she, as they look female. They are attracted to only one other gender: males to bimales, bimales to females, and females to males. They are rarely fertile, but when they are, they are overcome by lust. After a mating, in which all three genders come together in a complicated ritual, they split ways again, each growing a new child. Bimales carry females in their belly area, females grow a bulge on their back for a male child, and males grow bimales in separate eggs that they usually carry wherever they go, connected to the egg by a fleshy band. Children become grown-up at age two.

Racial Traits

• Age. You live up to 500 years, and when born look just like a smaller version of an adult.
• Size. You stand between 4 and 5 feet tall. Your size is Medium.

When you choose this subrace, you gain the following traits:

• Ability Improvement. Your INT, WIS and HON modifiers increase by 0.5.
• Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 ft.
• Celestial Rest. Instead of resting for the total amount of time prescribed for a rest, you may meditate for half that time and gain the same effects.
• Truesight. You have truesight to 60 ft.

When you reach 25th level, you gain this additional trait:

• Epic Racial: Your INT, WIS and HON modifiers increase by 0.5.
