> These gnomes, also called felrugneblin, look highly similar to dwarves and live in high mountain ranges.

> Armored and Hidden. Although only slightly taller than most gnomes, the armor they constantly wear make them seem considerably larger. Their body covered in iron plates and their eyes hidden behind red visors, felrugneblin are a scary sight.

> This armor server to protect them in the common way, but also shields against acids, poison, and fire, and is completely airtight.

> Engineers. Next to their armor suits, hill gnomes have a wide array of utilitarian machines, such as jackhammers and flame throwers. Their creativity is limited to the useful, but what they produce is of very high quality.

> Hidden in their Strongholds. Hill gnomes can hardly ever be seen in the outside world. They prefer living far beneath the mountains, sometimes without even an exit, mining in their suits and never showing their faces.

> Families of Necessity. Although felrugneblin live longer than most gnomes, they still die. Women stay pregnant for two months before giving birth, usually continuing work as normal until the last few weeks. Children are then educated in nurseries, without any familial ties. At the age of 11, they are given their suits and their adult lives commence.

Age: You live up to 400 years, but only 250 in your home mine. You are considered adult by the age of 11, as you are given your armor

Racial Traits

When you choose this subrace, you gain the following traits:

• Ability Improvement. Your CON modifier increases by 1.
• Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 ft.
• Tinker. You master artisan’s tools related to mining and weaponry and know how to wield mining apparati.
• Starting Equipment. In addition to your class's starting equipment, you may choose to additionally wear Felrug's Armor. It has an AC of 18, and gives resistance to fire and poison damage.
• Darkvision. You have darkvision to 60 ft.
• Languages. You can speak Gnomish.

When you reach 25th level, you gain this additional trait:

• Epic Racial. You have immunity to fire and poison damage, as well as resistance to bludgeoning damage.
