Genasi Subrace: LightningSubrace

> When powerful fields of the Weave surround and penetrate a creature, it might become so tainted by a magical element that its child is not a member of its race, but much rather a genasi - a lightning genasi, from the magical element rather than from the Elemental Planes.

> Lightning genasi have wild hair, and usually grow it long. Male versions have mustaches and beards with spikes of hair going every which way. Your skin is light blue or yellow, and your eyes have a thin vertical pupil inlaid on a deep blue. Lightning genasi have a fierce temper and feel their emotions much stronger than other people would, causing them to sometimes act more out of temper than out of will.

Racial Traits

When you choose this subrace, you gain the following traits:

• Ability Improvement. Your DEX modifier increases by 0.5.
• Lightning Nature. You have resistance to lightning damage. Your unarmed strikes deal an additional 2d6 lightning damage. At 10th level, this becomes 4d6, and at 20th, 6d6.
• Magic Resistance. You gain a +2 bonus to any saving throws performed against magical effects. Furthermore, you have advantage against being charmed magically.
• Languages. You know Ignan.

When you reach 25th level, you gain this additional trait:

• Epic Racial. You gain immunity to lightning damage, and can cast lightning bolt at its base level. You must take a long rest before being able to cast it again.
