Oshmondu, commonly called the Prime Material Plane, lied at the core of the Ochebana multiverse, sandwiched between the elemental planes. Its primary feature were the numerous continents and islands that dotted the ocean which spanned across the entire plane of existence. It was approximately 3'120 kilometers wide, and 1'920 kilometers high, although this north-south axis was not continuous because of the bulges of the poles.^[1]

The material plane was the world of the mortals, where the elements from the Inner Planes merged to create a livable world. Many creatures from the Outer Realms, notably fiends and celestials, had much interest in Oshmondu but often couldn't actually reach it; this was in part due to the physical barriers of the Outer Ring and the Inner Planes. Inner elementals, meanwhile, never truly had an interest in the plane after the end of the Celestial Wars.
