Nansaisti DeitiesLore Canon

Nansaisti gods, also called single deities or monodei, were deities not attributed to any pantheon, and able to receive prayers and form holy fugues.

Etymology

It was very common for deities to be alone in the ancient times before the Celestial Wars. Back then, a common term for "god" was nansai, but there was no specific definition for single-standing gods, and the whole structure clearly separating deities from celestial lords, or fiendish ones for that matter, was not yet defined.

In the Dictation of Cosmic Order, the requirement for deities to base their power on followers was introduced. When the celestial power structure was institutionalized and clear definition of "god" arose, many deities rallied together to represent more values to attract more mortals, and to share a fugue for more power. Thus, those that remained single and managed to retain a large amount of power were somewhat admired and referred to as "nansaisti", a term often equated to "great old ones" or "ancient deities", since most newcomers rose to power by joining a pantheon.
